Building Green For A Better Tomorrow

The Green Movement,
The need to build today's homes with products that are: Enviromentaly Safe, Sustainable, Recyclable, Energy Efficient, Improve Living conditions. The federal government passed the energy policy act of 2005, a bill entitling tax credits to homeowners and commercial builders for constructing homes that meet a 30-50% reduction in reduction in energy costs.

Building Green is not a fad. It's here to stay. It's a good thing, too because on an average day in the United States, the built environment accounts for 36% of total energy use, 65% of electrical consumption, 30% of greenhouse gas emissions and more than 372,000 tons of waste output!

In the last few years, the Build Green movement has ascended into the mainstream of the American building industry. But a Quaker, it's nothing new to us. We're very proud to say that we've been offering positive, environmental products for many years. Our windows and doors contain many components that are considered "green," include glass, aluminum and in some cases, wood.
